Here I sit on my leather sofa,
The rays of sun, through the big glass
window,
Out I look and stare,
All the great big skyscrapers I see,
For a second I stop and think,
Oh! This is where I pictured myself to be.
Little girl, in her little home,
Had some dreams which weren’t little,
Oh the beauty of life indeed,
That time passes swiftly, it did.
Now I sit and wonder,
If it is good or bad,
That time passed so quick,
For I miss that little girl so very much.
Oh how I wish,
I could bring her back,
She would teach me how to live, she would,
To smile and to love from the heart, as
she did,
Oh! I’d live a life so pure and bliss.
So I stopped and searched for her,
And it wasn’t too long before I found her
again,
She was always there, waiting to be found,
I finally did, no I wont lose her again.
She continued staring at the view outside
my glass window,
Counting days to go back to a place she
calls home,
Mountains not too far away,
Trees, so green and big,
Were the view her heart yearned for.
She missed the swing, oh yes,
That little brown swing,
Sitting majestically at her porch,
Whatever happened to it,
For she couldn’t remember the last time
she sat on it.
Oh now she knew,
The price that had to be paid,
To become the girl she dreamt of becoming,
If only her young curious heart,
Knew what it meant,
She would never wish to…..grow up.
